SEASONS

BEST TIMES

Timing is an important consideration for your journey to India. Our suggestions for the best times are as follows. 

  • Northern India (Himalayan Region).
    • February & March for bird watching. 
    • February – May for wildlife Safaris. 
    • April – June for trekking in Uttarakhand and most parts of Himachal Pradesh. 
    • May – September for Lahaul Spiti and the Ladakh area
  • Southern India: 
    • Peak season: December to February.
    • Rejuvenation therapies: Traditionally the monsoons are considered the very best season for rejuvenation therapies and therapeutic treatments.
    • Festivals: Festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in the month of September. Diwali or the festival of flights can fall in the month of October or November.
    • Wildlife: March – May. 
    • House Boats – June – August (during the monsoons). 
  • Central India: February to April for Wildlife Safaris. 
  • North Eastern India:
    • Best time to visit the subtropical regions of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya plateau and even Manipur, Mizoram as well as Nagaland is from mid October to early May.

All travelers need a visa to visit India.

Travels extending their travel to Bhutan or Nepal will also require a visa. 

  • Bhutan: Visa Upon arrival.

WHAT NOT INCLUDED

EXCLUSIONS

  • International Flights. 
  • Visa Fees.
  • Insurance.
    • Recommended Insurance Policy: Signature Travel Plus, by Global Rescue: Apart from medial coverage of up to $100,000 this policy will also includes coverage due to cancelation/delay/interruption related reasons listed in the policy. We advise our travelers to purchase this policy within 20-days of the initial trip deposit to insure maximum coverage. Contact us for more details. 
  • Tips (ask us for guidelines). 
  • Any transportation, accommodation or meals that are not listed in your itinerary. 
  • Camera Fee that may be applicable in some national parks depending on the type of camera (please check with us). 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

RESERVATIONS

  • A 50% advance deposit is required to secure your spot. 
  • The balance may be paid 60 days before your journey. 
  • All deposits, payments and cancelations are non refundable. Hence, trip cancelation insurance is highly recommended.
