day by day

Arrive in Kathmandu International Airport, you will be met and chauffeured to your hotel.

Arrive at the starting point of your trekking adventure after a short flight to Phaplu. Check into Kyrimu lodge at Junbesi before setting out with your guide for a  visit to the local monastery.

  • Overnight Elevation: 8,900 ft.

After breakfast, begin a steady ascent to Thuptencholing Monastery. One of the most significant monasteries of the region. Established by Thrulsik Rimpoche after his escape from Tibet in the 1950’s. Thrulsik Rimpoche is a highly regarded monk and is a teacher of the Dalai Lama.

At the monastery complex travelers can choose to attend a prayer ceremony and have lunch with the monks and nuns before returning back to Junbesi.

Feel inspired as you ascend over a small pass through a canopy of Himalayan oak and Rhododendron forests before descending into the small Sherpa village of Loding.
