Private Nepal Journeys for You and the People You Love

Ancient temple cities, Himalayan sunrises and jungle rivers, shared with your circle. Our own team in Kathmandu is with you every day, from arrival to your last evening.

Nepal isn't a tour for us. It's a second home.

I grew up in the Himalayas of northern India, and Nepal has been part of my life ever since. I’ve been in the travel industry since I was 22, and over 25 years of connections have grown into friendships. The people who greet your group are friends I trust with my own family. You won’t feel like visitors for long.

Transformative Travel provides a truly memorable and profound experience. I've been to India and most recently to Bhutan with this company. The owner, Misty, works with you every step of the way to prepare a tailored itinerary. He makes time for multiple Zoom meetings and introduces you to the guides he personally knows and has worked with for years. My guides in Bhutan became my friends. We had so many great conversations, learning about each other's countries as we traveled through the fantastic landscapes, visited sacred places, and hiked up mountainsides and through edenic valleys. These are memories I will…

I traveled to India and Bhutan with Misty Dhillon this Spring. Amazing Experience! Misty and the Transformative Travel team are thoughtful, knowledgeable and attentive professionals who make painstaking efforts to ensure your trip is memorable and seamless. The landscapes, temples, food, wildlife, and overall cultural imersion was so impressive, I have already begun making arrangements to return with TT in 2028.

Private journeys start from $8,500 per person, including guides, hotels, internal transport and logistics. Price depends on group size, season and lodges.

Kathmandu sits around 4,600 ft and Pokhara around 2,700 ft. You can see Everest by helicopter or mountain flight without trekking at altitude.

Gentle to moderate. No trekking required, and every walk is optional. If you can walk comfortably for an hour, you’ll be fine.

Fresh and full of flavor: dal bhat, momos and Newari dishes, adjusted to every diet in your group. Spice is always on the side.

US citizens can get a tourist visa on arrival in Kathmandu. We walk everyone in your group through it before you travel.

Yes. Many of our guests pair Nepal with Bhutan or India’s Golden Triangle in one seamless journey.

A day on the journey

Day 3 · Kathmandu Valley

Morning

At first light, join pilgrims walking clockwise around the great white dome of Boudhanath, spinning prayer wheels as the monasteries wake. Breakfast on a rooftop facing the stupa.

Or instead: a sunrise mountain flight past Everest · a slow morning at your hotel

Afternoon

Bhaktapur’s medieval squares, where potters still throw clay by hand. Lunch in a courtyard, and a taste of juju dhau, the city’s famous ‘king of curds’.

Or instead: a metalcraft workshop in Patan · a Nepali cooking class

Evening

Dinner with your whole group in a restored Newari heritage house, with stories from the day and an early night.

Your journey begins here.
