Day by Day

Arrive to a warm welcome at the New Delhi International Airport. Our representative will meet you upon clearing customs. Enjoy a short drive to your hotel before settling in for a good night’s rest. Optional: Sightseeing can be arranged should you be interested in visiting some of Delhi’s historical sights.

Journey to Agra (home to India’s iconic Taj Mahal) via train escorted by your guide. Settle into your hotel after your 2-hr train-ride before following your guide on a tour of the tomb of Akbar; a famed Mughal emperor. Later visit the Agra Fort, learn about the Pearl Mosque and glass palace of Shish Mahal. Ending your historic tour at the Mehtab Bagh Gardens, take a 30 minute drive from Agra that offers a view of the Taj Mahal form across the Yamuna River to end the evening.

Follow your guide at early dawn on a tour learning about the secrets and the glorious past of India’s architectural masterpiece, the iconic Taj Mahal. Learn about it’s creator, Shah Jahan the great warrior king, ruler of India’s mighty Mughal empire. He is the man who as a tribute to his queen, the beautiful Mumtaz Mahal made this marvel come to life. Continue exploring this ancient land, meeting its craftsmen and witnessing it’s architectural jewels. Next we adventure to view India’s prolific wildlife via a road journey to the Ranthambore National Park. Ranthambore is known as one of the best places in the world to see a tiger in the wild.

In comparison to most national parks, Ranthambore is less densely forested making sightings easier. It is cradled in an area that is just over a 150 square miles in the Aravalli and Vindhya hill ranges. In addition, Ranthambore Tiger Reserve sits surrounding a chain of lakes. It is because of this permanent water, wildlife flourishes here. Besides it’s prolific wildlife, Ranthambore also has a long history of human inhabitation and battles dating back to the 11th century. Dominating this Tiger Reserve is the historic Ranthambore Fort. Once it was the focal point of a rigorous city. The fort make an amazing backdrops to this unique tiger reserve. Spend the day exploring parts of this prolific wildlife hot-spot including tracking the legendary Bengal Tiger along with your seasoned naturalist.

Reflect on your experiences in the land of the tiger, and journey to Jaipur after breakfast. En-route stop over at the village of Bagru and witness and participate in the ancient art of block printing and creating natural dies that has put this village on the world map. This is another example of India’s rich artistic heritage. Continue your journey to Jaipur, known as the Pink City. A city steeped deep in culture, spender, magnificence, legend and luxury. From its intricate jewelry, majestic palaces, grandeur & style embedded into the heart of some of India’s richest cultural heritage. Jaipur is also one of the largest gem stone cutting and polishing centers in the world who’s skilled craftsmen are capable of creating some of the most spectacular and expensive jewelry available. Jaipur also happens to be one of the greatest centers of stone carvings as well as block printing. Check in to 47 Jobner Bagh and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast set in the courtyard of your hotel. Follow your knowledgeable guide to the Astronomical Observatory called Jantar Mantar & Museum of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh followed by a visit to the City Palace and the impressive “palace of breeze” Hawa Mahal. It was built in 1799 as an extension to the royal City Palace of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal allowed ladies of the royal family to watch processions and activities on the streets of the city without being seen by the public. Enjoy a back-tour of the crowded and colorful streets of Jaipur meeting some of it’s incredible craftsmen.

A few miles from the city center lies the famous, Amber fort. It is a relic of the late sixteenth century. It is an ornate and breathtaking artistic master piece that sits on the edge of the Maota Lake. Say goodbye to Jaipur and board a short flight back to New Delhi. You will be chauffeured to your home for the night, not too far from the airport.
