Shenandoah Multi Day Adventure

2 Night River Expedition, Virginia

Take 2 nights to “get off the grid” and experience a self-contained, river adventure in Virginia’s Shenandoah River. Learn the basic skills of paddling a canoe and camping on wild islands.

  • Tune into the wisdom of the incredibly rich natural world in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.
  • Set powerful intentions with your fellow travelers and enjoy incredibly meaningful bonding experiences with loved ones that will create memories for a lifetime.
  • Discover the Paleo-Indian history of this ancient land, home to the oldest known sacred solstice ritual site in North America – said to be 12,000 years old!
  • Opportunities for fly fishing from remote river islands.
  • Feast your eyes on a bustling ecosystem filled with soaring wings, splashes from feisty fish, and even river otters diving for their breakfast! Spot the legendary bald eagle catching a fish in its talons.

Moreover our 2-night self-contained river expedition teaches you basic river running skills. Learn the proper technique to negotiate class 1 rapids while exploring the Shenandoah valley. This is a perfect opportunity to learn the basics.

*Please Note: Campsites will be made (sometimes with the use of a machete) on wild islands surrounded by Shenandoah waters. Work as a team to create “camp”, including a cooking and utensil cleaning station, setting up your own personal tents, learning the essentials for setting up bathroom tents (equipped with dry pit toilets), and solar showers, all under the guidance of an expert.

End the day on a river island around a small fire, watching the reflection of the glorious sunset shimmering over flowing waters and infinite sky.
