Our guests arrive in New Delhi where they are met and chauffeured to the JB Marriott, about 10 minutes from the airport for a good nights rest as well as a convenient connection to the domestic airport for the following day’s flight.
Enjoy a luxurious journey to Leh via a air. You will be chauffeured to the domestic airport to board your short flight to Leh which is just over 11,000 ft. Arrive and be met by your guide from where on you can expect a journey of discovery. Enjoy every moment as you make your way to Leh, the capital of Ladakh, and experience its panoramic views, breath-taking monuments, and rich culture as you acclimatize.
Take a short sight seeing tour as well as shopping for local arts and crafts and another good nights rest as your body acclimatizes to this high altitude region.
From the start of your journey, follow the green willow-lined Indus river along Zingchen George to your first night’s camp on route to Kang Yatse II.
Take a trek across a mountain pass and come across ancient monasteries on the way to the Markha Village, which is a fairly large village given its remote location.
Experience the wonders of Ladakh’s high altitude landscape and expanses that are both awe inspiring and culturally rich. In addition you might spot fascinating wildlife as well as rare mammals and birds which are only found at this altitude as you approach Thachungtse which is just over 13,500 ft.
As you descend into Nimaling village situated at a height of 15,000 ft, the views of the Kang Yatse II come alive as you explore a little-known part of Nepal that is dominated by views of snow-capped peaks and lush forests.
Spend the day exploring the beautiful high altitude tundra of the Urals and make your way to base camp on yet another day of trekking over high altitude Yak pastures, crossing small stream and some trekking over loose rocks before establishing base camp just over 16,500 ft.
A refreshing respite. A chance to recharge and refuel. Time to rest and acclimatize at base camp and practice your technical skills on snowy slopes with your guides.
We are setting up base camp at 17,000ft on the north side of Mt. Yatse II. At this elevation and with our crampons on we are ready for a strenuous day ahead!
The only way to explore the Zanskar range is on foot, but that doesn’t mean you have to climb all the way up to base camp. We’ll start your trek at midnight, then we’ll walk so we can reach the summit around dawn. Once we’re there, it’ll take us another couple of hours or so before we descend back down to camp where you can rest up after a long day of walking.
The journey begins with a scenic drive down our private road to the village of Namling, where you’ll be greeted with a warm cup of tea by our friendly porters. From there, the adventure continues with a steep descent through the dense tropical forest to the village of Nimaling, where you’ll be met by our vehicles and chauffeured back to your hotel in Leh.
After you a flight from Leh to New Delhi, we will be met and chauffeured to the JB Marriott hotel that is about 15 minutes from the airport for a good night’s rest before departing.
