Experience Asia’s finest mix of angling and wildlife. Fish the Babai river that enriches Nepal’s Bardiya National Park. Home to some of the best fishing in Nepal, the Bardiya National it is certainly worth the adventure if you’re up for an expedition style safari.
The expedition starts by floating the Babai river through the heart of the Bardiya National Park. Home to some of Nepal’s most prolific habitat for the one-horned rhino, asiatic elephant, and tiger to name a few. The 3-night float trip also offers access to some of Nepal’s best fishing, not just for Golden Mahseer, but also other species.
The final days are spent based out of Tiger Tops, Karnali Lodge. From here we plan dividing up into teams for both wildlife adventures as well as angling explorations in other parts of the National Park we will have access to.
Arrive to a warm welcome at the Kathmandu International airport. You will be met after you clear customs and chauffeured to your B&B which is about 30 minutes from the airport.
Spend the day sightseeing in Kathmandu after breakfast.
Be chauffeured to the airport after breakfast to board your short flight to Nepalgunj. Be met by your guides and journey to the starting point of your float-trip. After a safety briefing begin your float-trip into the heart of this national park.
Spend the next two days exploring the Babai valley, floating roughy 40-miles through the heart of some of Asia’s finest habitat.
End your river-journey shortly after lunch and be chauffeured to Tiger Tops for a refreshing hot bath and delicious dinner.
Spend 2-days exploring the park with your seasoned guides for both wildlife as well as angling.
After a morning safari, journey back to Nepalgunj with your hosts to board your flight back to Kathmandu.
Journey back home. You will be chauffeured to the airport shortly after breakfast.
