The Patapsco River is the last link in a chain of rivers that feed into Chesapeake Bay. It flows through Maryland, and is one of the most interesting features within the park that provide anglers with a variety of challenges and opportunities and explore themselves through a variety of fishing and fly fishing methods that goes anywhere from popping for the invasive snakehead. Or sight fly fishing for small mouth bass which are plentiful in the Patapsco river as well as Daniels Dam, believe it or not.
The upper section consists mostly of marshy areas along its banks where wildlife can be seen including bald eagles and osprey birds as well as great blue heron nests along with ducks, geese and other waterfowl species living here too!
The best way to fish this river is by floating it, on either a canoe, or standup paddle board.
