Additionally, the use of an inflatable kayak compliments you day’s guided fishing on the lower Susquehanna river. While floating the Susquehanna River before finally ending your adventure into the Chesapeake Bay with your guide Misty Dhillon. Indeed a great way to spend a day on your local waters and connecting to the habitat.

  • Even though the float trip is just 5 miles long. Anglers can expect to paddle in between islands accessing various parts of this wide, rocky final miles of the Susquehanna River before it reaches the Chesapeake Day.

  • Early morning departures (season dependent) are highly recommendations for this valley to avoid the crowds and make the best of what the valley has to offer.

FULL DAY'S FISHING

Start your day overlooking the mighty and prolific lower Susquehanna river. Then set-off on inflatable kayaks, floating 5-miles into the northern part of the Chesapeake bay. Later try your luck fly fishing for stripped bass using single barbless hooks (catch & release only) with your certified casting instructor and guide, Misty Dhillon. Nevertheless, learn the ropes of a self-contained-float trip to try-out on your local-waters but also fishing with more stealth using kayaks. 

While a full-day’s guided fishing includes 7-hours floating, fishing. Travelers can also expect to witnessing this prolific piedmont habitat in Maryand bordering Pennsylvania. You are met by Misty just below the Conowingo Dam (fisherman’s park). Finally, the float-trip ends at the Lapidum boat ramp from where you are driven back to your car at Conowingo Dam (fisherman’s park).

You can expect a day under Misty Dhillon’s careful guidance, sharing fly fishing skills and his contagious passion. While intentionally taking the time to re-connect you to the natural world, your loved ones, and more importantly yourself.

  • All of the fishing is catch and release using single barbless hooks.
  • Participant anglers over the age of 16 must also have a valid fishing permit from Maryland DNR. 
  • Please also note that felt-soles wading shoes or sandals are banned in Maryland’s tidal and non-tidal waters.

Making a reservation.

  • Send us at-least 2 date preferences your email address and phone number. 
  • Pay by selecting your package. 
  • Lastly, choose the number of anglers in your party before you check-out and pay.

Getting there.

Fishing License

  • All participants over the age of 16 must have a valid Freshwater fishing permit and trout stamp. Participants should also carry a soft or hard copy of your Maryland Freshwater Fishing License and Trout stamp in a waterproof bag. 
  • Fishing Licenses are available online from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. 

Best times.

  • The best time to fish the Lower Susquehanna river is from May 1 to August 15.
